Ad hoc network communication radio station 100km tug-of-war test

On February 2, 2024, the long-distance wireless communication radio developed by the company carried out a 100km long-distance communication test and achieved complete success, and all functions and performance indicators met the design indicators.

Test site

This test is a fixed-point test. A communication device is set up at each of the two test points. The situation for the two test points is as follows:

Test point 1: Balcony Hill; The summit of Balcony Mountain, Haidian District, Beijing, is 1270 meters above sea level, latitude 40°04'44"N, longitude 116°02'49"E;

Test point 2: Ganquan Temple; It is 210 meters above sea level, latitude 40°01'45"N, longitude 117°08'33"E.

The distance between the two test points is: 93.6km


 Device configuration

The main purpose of the test is to verify the communication distance and data transmission bandwidth of the communication station in the airborne or missile-borne environment. Among them, the test point on Balcony Mountain simulates airborne equipment or missile-borne equipment, and the test point at Ganquan Temple simulates ground equipment.


Test Device Status:

Balcony Hill test point: The device is 2×10W, and the antenna uses two 5dBi antennas or two 2dBi antennas, and two 5dBi antennas and two 2dBi antennas are used to simulate the scene on the flight target during the test. Some flying targets can be fitted with a 5dBi antenna, while some can only be fitted with a 2dBi antenna.

Ganquan Temple test site: 2×10W equipment, 2 5dBi antennas, simulating the scene of the ground station.

Operating frequency band: 1.4GHz frequency band.

Carrier bandwidth 20MHz.


Test environment

Balcony Hill device test scenario, the test device uses a tripod to stand about 1.5 meters high.

Test results

The test results are shown in the table below:

  • Under the condition that the transmission power of the balcony mountain equipment (simulated airborne equipment or missile-borne equipment) is 2W and the antenna gain is 5dBi, the receiving data bandwidth of the Ganquansi equipment (simulated ground equipment) is 17Mbps;

  • Under the condition that the transmission power of the balcony mountain equipment (simulated airborne equipment or missile-borne equipment) is 10W and the antenna gain is 2dBi, the receiving data bandwidth of the Ganquansi equipment (simulated ground equipment) is 17Mbps.
